Security System Installation

Surveillance DVR Card Installation

Wall plug manIf you want to have someone install the complete DVR system for you, feel free to inquire to see if we can have someone in your region to do so for you.  Otherwise, you could simply purchase some RG-59 coaxial cable along with some BNC connectors at your local electronics store and install it yourself.   It's really not difficult to do so.

Installation Overview

(1)  Insert the accompanying CD.
(2)  Install the eDRV software along with Access Runtime and DirectX.
(3)  Shut down (turn off) the PC.
(4)  Insert the DVR card(s) into available PCI slot(s) inside your computer.
(5)  Hook up the cameras via the cables and connectors.
(6)  Turn on the PC and wait for the "new hardware found" dialog box.
(7)  Install the necessary drivers from the specific location mentioned in the first pages of your user manual, such as "C:\XPDevice" or "C:\RDDevice", or "C:\HSDevice".
(8)  Configure the overall software, one camera at a time.
(9)  Schedule for auto daily/weekly recording, etc ...

Camera Configuration Setup

Once all of the cameras are properly wired, you will need to adjust the focal length and focusing of the cameras (if your cameras have a zoom lens).  Some cameras have a fixed lens and need not be adjusted other than making sure the camera is positioned at the proper location for best viewing.  See the diagram below for helping you determine the right camera lens needed for the desired field of view.
